The Paul Hornung Award

Performances Earn Antonio Andrews, Jameon Lewis and Tommylee Lewis PHA Honors

Louisville, KY – Monday, October 28, 2013 – Three top all-purpose performers collectively earned 645 yards and scored three different ways to earn this week’s Paul Hornung Award Weekly Honor Roll.

The Paul Hornung Award, presented by Texas Roadhouse, is awarded annually to the most versatile player in major college football. The winner and his family will be honored January 28, 2014, at a banquet presented by KentuckyOne Health at the Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville.

Fans can participate in the selection process by voting online as often as once a day for their favorite player on the Paul Hornung Award Watch List at votepaulhornung.com. Fan voting, powered by Texas Roadhouse, makes up the 17th vote for the Hornung Award; a national selection committee comprised of 16 sports journalists and former NFL stars will select the winner in early December.

Week Nine Honorees:

Western Kentucky’s senior running back Antonio Andrews finished the game against Troy with 292 all-purpose yards, the ninth most in a single-game by a player in the FBS. Andrews had 28 rushes for 144 yards and one touchdown, seven receptions for 125 yards, and one kick return for 23 yards in a 32-26 loss. He has now reached 200 all-purpose yards for the fifth straight game and is one of only two players in the FBS to record two games of 290 or more all-purpose yards this season.

Mississippi State wide receiver Jameon Lewis, for the second time this season caught a touchdown pass, rushed for a touchdown and threw for a touchdown in the same game. He had seven catches for 53 yards, two carries for 22 yards, three kickoff returns for 47 yards, one punt return for a loss of one yard and went one-for-one passing for 17 yards totaling 138 all-purpose yards in a 28-22 win over Kentucky on Oct. 24. Lewis is the only player in the country with four or more receiving touchdowns, three or more rushing touchdowns and two or more passing touchdowns.

Junior wide receiver Tommylee Lewis touched the ball three different ways and had 205 all-purpose yards to help Northern Illinois defeat Eastern Michigan 59-20 on Saturday. Lewis surpassed the 100-yard mark in receiving yards for the first time in 2013 – and the first time in his career – with 107 yards on eight catches. He is the first player to exceed 100 yards receiving for the Huskies this year. Additionally, he added 81 yards on four carries and went one-for-one passing for 17 yards and one touchdown.
