Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Join us on Aug. 22, 2022, at the Galt House Hotel when we celebrate the 2022 class of the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame. Comprising the 45th KSHOF class are: Mitch Barnhart, nationally renowned athletics director at the University of Kentucky (UK) since 2002; Michael Bush, football star at Louisville Male High School, the University of Louisville and in the NFL in the early 2000s; Sue Feamster, former UK athletic administrator and trail blazer for girls’ and women’s participation in athletic competition starting in the late 1960s; and Dallas Thornton, basketball star at Male, Kentucky Wesleyan and the Harlem Globetrotters in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Louisville Pure Tap® 5K

Presented by the Louisville Water Company, the Louisville Pure Tap® 5k is a family-friendly run/walk that begins and ends at the home of Louisville’s drinking water, Louisville Water Tower Park following a course that runs east and west on River Road.

Louisville Golf Classic

The Louisville Golf Classic is a yearly local golf scramble event. In 2021, the event raised funds for The First Tee of Louisville & Louisville Sports Commission’s Playing it Forward, for their support of local youth in marginalized neighborhoods. Louisville Golf Classic partners with Mike Thomas, PGA Professional and father of former World # 1 & Louisville native, Justin Thomas to raise funds for these local organizations.
