Award Presented Annually Since 2010 to Most Versatile Player in Major College Football

Louisville, Ky. – December 11, 2019 – University of Kentucky junior Lynn Bowden Jr., a prolific all-purpose receiver and return specialist who led the Wildcats to a 5-2 record while filling in at quarterback, has been named winner of the 10th annual Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse. The Louisville Sports Commission and Paul Hornung present the award to the most versatile player in major college football.

Registration Now Open for 2020 Louisville Corporate Games IV presented by Humana

Louisville, Ky. – December 3, 2019 – The Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) today announced that registration for the Louisville Corporate Games IV presented by Humana is now open. The event will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020, from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on the Kentucky Country Day School campus.

The Louisville Corporate Games is a community-wide event that brings together employees from Louisville and Southern Indiana-area businesses and organizations for a day of friendly competition and employee camaraderie. It is comprised of 15 events, some highly competitive and others geared toward participation to get people moving, as well as activities that foster company spirit.

Lynn Bowden, Jr. wins 10th Annual Howard Schnellenberger MVP Award

Lexington, Ky. – November 30, 2019 – University of Kentucky (UK) junior quarterback Lynn Bowden, Jr., rushed for 293 yards and four touchdowns and was named winner of the 2019 Howard Schnellenberger MVP Award after leading the Wildcats in a 45-13 win over the University of Louisville today at Commonwealth Stadium. Bowden was selected by a vote of the working media covering the game.

Bowden, who started the year as an electrifying all-purpose receiver/return specialist, led UK to a 5-2 record filling in at quarterback after the Wildcats’ lost their top two signal callers due to injury.

Pomona-Pitzer (men), Johns Hopkins (women) Capture 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships

Patrick Watson, Stevenson and Parley Hannan, Ithaca Win Men’s and Women’s Titles

Louisville, Ky. – November 23, 2019 – Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (men) and Johns Hopkins University (women) won the team titles at the 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships today at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky. Patrick Watson of Stevenson University won the men’s eight kilometers individual title with a time of 24:13.9, and Parley Hannan of Ithaca College won the women’s six kilometer title in 20:53.8.
