Interactive, family-friendly sports event designed to engage kids and help them get active
Louisville, Ky. – December 12, 2017 – The Louisville Sports Commission announced today that it has partnered with Talgrace Marketing, a Louisville-based marketing company, to produce SportsFest presented by Baptist Health. This interactive sports festival will be held Jan. 6-7, 2018, at the Kentucky Expo Center. This will be the second year the event has been held.

Award Presented Annually to Most Versatile Player in Major College Football
Louisville, Ky. – Wednesday, December 6, 2017 – Penn State third-year junior Saquon Barkley, the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, Running Back of the Year, and Special Teams Player of the Year, was named winner of the eighth annual Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse. The Louisville Sports Commission and Paul Hornung present the Award to the most versatile player in major college football.

Louisville, Ky. – November 30, 2017 – The Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) today announced that its second annual Louisville Corporate Games will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The event will once again be on the Kentucky Country Day School campus.
The Corporate Games is a community-wide event that brings together employees from Louisville and Southern Indiana-area businesses and organizations for a day of friendly competition and employee camaraderie. It is comprised of 15 events, some highly competitive and others geared toward participation to get people moving, as well as activities that foster company spirit.

Tickets are being made available just in time for last-minute holiday gifts, perfect for the ultimate sports fan.
The Louisville Sports Commission is a non-profit and will use 100 percent of the proceeds to support its mission of promoting active lifestyles and enhancing economic vitality by attracting, creating and hosting quality sporting events in the Louisville area. A maximum of 400 tickets will be sold.

Program Provides New / Gently Used Sporting Equipment to Area Youth
Louisville, Ky. – November 14, 2017 – The Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) announced today it will kick off its Playing it Forward initiative at two special events to be held on Nov. 18, 2017. These inaugural events are sponsored by the Kentucky Colonels’ Good Works Program with support from U.S. Bank and Louisville Metro Parks.
