After 150 Kentucky Derbys, Louisville Knows Sports

Winners Announced for Urban Bourbon Half Marathon and Sam Swope Fiat Corporate Challenge

Louisville, KY – October 25, 2014 – With nearly 3,400 registered participants, the Louisville Sports Commission’s Urban Bourbon Half Marathon went off this morning under cool, cloudy skies at race start.

Michael Moore of LaGrange, Ill., won the men’s half marathon in a time of 1:14:46.02, edging second-place finisher Mike Horan of Goshen, Ky., who clocked a time of 1:15:43.88. Dani Fischer of Wausau, Wis. won the women’s half marathon in 1:21:56.75, just beating Cara Gaines of Louisville, Ky., who finished in 1:23:49.82.

In the nine-team Sam Swope Fiat Corporate Challenge, the University of Louisville finished first in a total time of 4:38:33.45; Frost Brown Todd, LLC finished second in 5:01:15.36.
