Winners Announced for 2019 Norton Sports Health 10K
Louisville, Ky. – September 21, 2019 – With more than 1,000 registered participants, the Norton Sports Health 10K went off this morning under overcast, humid conditions. The race was held in The Parklands of Floyds Fork; it is the second race in the Louisville Sports Commission’s three-race Fall Runathon Series.
Ali Faraji-Tajrishi of Louisville, Ky., won the men’s division in a time of 36:15.49, ahead of second-place finisher Brock McDaniel of Louisville, Ky., who clocked a time 36:25.80. Alissa Bennett of Memphis, Ind., won the women’s division in 40:47.65 beating Bailey Knable of Sellersburg, Ind., who finished in 42:11.61.

• First Place: Ali Faraji-Tajrishi, Louisville, Ky., with a time of 36:15.49
• Second Place: Brock McDaniel, Louisville, Ky., with a time of 36:25.80
• Third Place: Ben Calebs, Louisville, Ky., with a time of 37:00.46
• First Place: Alissa Bennett, Memphis, Ind., with a time of 40:47.65
• Second Place: Bailey Knable, Sellersburg, Ind., with a time of 42:11.61
• Third Place: Chelsea Stengel, Jeffersonville, Ind., with a time of 43:55.47

The Norton Sports Health 10K is the second race of the Louisville Sports Commission’s Fall Runathon, a series of three fall running races that provides unique courses and quality experiences for runners and walkers, while promoting healthy lifestyles for people of all ages and fitness levels.
