Louisville, Ky. – Dec. 1, 2025 – The Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) announced today that applications are currently being accepted for its Sports Fun(d) grants program.
Sports Fun(d) provides small financial grants* to 501(c)(3) organizations to help establish and expand affordable, recreational-level sports activities in Louisville’s marginalized neighborhoods. Through these grants, the LSC partners with existing sports programs to increase participation and act as a catalyst for creating new opportunities for youth sports engagement.
“Every young person deserves a chance to play, belong and grow,” said Lisa Mills, Louisville Sports Commission Vice President of Marketing and PR. “Through Sports Fun(d), we’re supporting organizations that create those opportunities in neighborhoods where access to sports has been historically limited.”
Nonprofit organizations working with youth from marginalized neighborhoods are encouraged to apply. Grants may be used to expand access to current programs by helping organizations reach more participants or to develop new sports-related programming.
Individuals or groups with an idea for a youth sports program may also be eligible if they have identified an organizational structure or partners capable of supporting the program.
More information, including detailed instructions on how to apply, can be found here: https://sportsfundky.org/funding/
*Please Note: Sports Fun(d) grants cannot be used for travel expenses, league costs, meals or wearables that do not remain with the program.
