WEEK 4: Two Players from ACC, One Each from Big Ten and Pac-12 Make Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll

Louisville, Ky. – Sept. 26, 2023 – Four players from three Power 5 conferences earned the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll in Week Four of the college football season. Jawhar Jordan from Louisville and Will Shipley from Clemson represent the ACC; Emeka Egbuka from Ohio State represents the Big Ten; and Cameron Skattebo from Arizona State represents the Pac-12. Jordan earned the NCFAA Paul Hornung Award National Player of the Week honors with three touchdowns and 249 all-purpose yards in Louisville’s win over Boston College.

Louisville, Ky. – Sept. 19, 2023 – Five players from four different conferences earned the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll in week three of the college football season. Jacob De Jesus from UNLV and Tory Horton from Colorado State represent the Mountain West; Parker Kingston from BYU represents the Big 12; DJ Lundy from FSU represents the ACC; and Arizona’s Michael Wiley represents the Pac 12.

Award Presented by Texas Roadhouse, Given to Nation’s Most Versatile Player

Louisville, Ky. – Sept. 12, 2023 – Four standout players from the Big 12 Conference and Pac-12 Conference comprise this week’s Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll.

Together with its 12 member awards, the National College Football Awards Association will package national players of the week this college football season. Cincinnati’s senior wide receiver Braden Smith was chosen as the Hornung Award’s National Player of the Week after helping the Bearcats earn a major road victory over Pittsburgh.

WEEK 1: Six Players Secure Spots on the first Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll of the 2023 Season

Louisville, Ky. – Sept. 6, 2023 – Six players from four different conferences have landed positions on the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll after the first two weekends of the 2023 college football season. Three of the six honorees hail from the Pac-12 Conference.

Together with 12 of its member awards, the National College Football Awards Association will package national players of the week this college football season. Travis Hunter, Colorado’s versatile wide receiver/cornerback, was selected as the Hornung Award’s National Player of the Week.

53 Players Named to the 14th Annual Paul Hornung Award Watch List

Louisville, Ky. – Aug. 3, 2023 – Fifty-three players, representing all 10 conferences plus two of the independents that compete for the Football Bowl Series, have been selected for the Paul Hornung Award Pre-Season Watch List.

Now in its 14th season, the Paul Hornung Award is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission in memory of the late football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung. The winner and his family will be honored at the annual Paul Hornung Award dinner in Louisville, Ky., in March 2024.
