Chill in the ‘Ville has been cancelled due to lack of participation

General Information

The Chill in the ‘Ville Cross Country Meet will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at E. P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park. The men’s race distance is 8,000 meters and will start at 11 a.m.; the women’s race is 5,000 meters and will start at noon.

Close: Feb. 8, 2021, at 11.59 p.m.

The entry fee is $200 per team and $400 for both men and women teams.

Coaches who want to ensure their team’s entry in the meet are strongly encouraged to submit team rosters and payment to Direct Athletics.

Open / Unattached Runners
Due to the unprecedented number of colleges that are unable to officially field teams this year, meet management is opening the meet to open/unattached runners.  Please let your athletes know they can register HERE. The fee is $30 per individual registration.

Refunds if Cancelled due to COVID-19
If we are not able to host the meet due to COVID-19, we will reimburse the full amount paid (less 5 percent processing fees for those who pay by credit card).

Spectators are welcome to attend the Chill in the ‘Ville. We ask that everyone adhere to current CDC guidelines as they relate to wearing masks and social distancing.

All spectators need to fill out a contract tracing form before entering the venue. You can fill out the form by clicking HERE  Please make sure all spectators know to have the email receipt pulled up on your phone or a paper copy ready to show the gate attendants. 

Inclement Weather

If inclement or severe weather is forecast, race officials will monitor the weather in the local area. If a decision is made that participants and spectators must clear the course, an announcement will be made over the PA system and through the use of bullhorns. The meet director will continue to monitor the weather to determine if there will be weather-related delays or cancellations, which will be announced accordingly.
