Official 2008 Ryder Cup License Plate

LOUISVILLE -- The 37th Ryder Cup will be played at Valhalla Golf Club, September 16-21, 2008. The Ryder Cup is the most spirited, exciting and compelling event in all of golf. With 80 years of history, the Ryder Cup involves the greatest players in the world and has generated some of the most memorable moments in golf. Be a part of the excitement at Valhalla Golf Club in September of 2008 and help cheer our U.S. Team to victory!

To celebrate the event, The Commonwealth of Kentucky is working to create an official "2008 Ryder Cup License Plate." In order for these plates to be produced, a minimum of 900 interested individuals are required to complete an application and submit payment to the Kentucky Sports Authority by September 30, 2007.

This specialty plate costs $38. For every plate purchased, $10 will go to The First Tee of Kentucky. There are four First Tee chapters in Kentucky and each is dedicated to providing young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop through golf and character education, and through life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and sportsmanship.
