Louisville Sports Commission Annual Breakfast will Highlight 2011 Events
Paul Hornung Award Finalists will be Announced

          Louisville, KY – December 6, 2011 – The Louisville Sports Commission will hold its annual breakfast on December 9, 2011, from 7-9 a.m at the KFC Yum! Center – Spirit Room.

          Karl Schmitt, executive director of the Louisville Sports Commission, will present highlights of the organization’s activities in 2011, including the inaugural LSC Half Marathon and Louisville pure tap® 5K. He will also highlight several events scheduled for 2012.

          Paul Hornung Award finalists will be announced in advance of the formal release later that day. Karl Schmitt will be available immediately following the breakfast to answer any questions regarding the finalists. The Louisville Sports Commission staff will coordinate a phone call with Paul Hornung upon request.

          In addition, Frank Minnifield, four-time letter winner with the University of Louisville Cardinals and former defensive back for the Cleveland Browns, will provide an overview of the NFL Players Association Kentucky Chapter 2012 Hall of Fame event that will be held in Louisville in June.

          The annual breakfast will be emceed by John Asher, vice president of communications at Churchill Downs.
