Ford Ironman returns to Louisville for 2nd year
The Ironman experience is one of the most recognized endurance events in the world! With it’s challenging 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycling course and the finishing 26.2 marathon run there’s no doubt that the finishers can relish with the recognition of being an Ironman. This years Louisville qualifying event has an expanded field of 2,700 and is quickly approaching the status of being the largest qualifier.
This year's Ironman event will be held on Sunday, August 31st.

location: Valhalla Golf Club, ranked No. 70 in the most recent list of "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses", by Golf Digest, was the scene of Tiger Woods' PGA Championship playoff victory over Bob May in 2000.
